Made of 440C stainless steel with 6 mm (1/4 in.) diameter. For use in 2 mL reinforced tubes. Sold as a bag of 100 grinding balls.

Suitable for use with the Cole-Parmer® Geno/Grinder® homogenizers
Suitable for grinding medium size tissue samples
Compatible with reinforced 2 mL vials
Autoclavable and reusable

Stainless steel balls are useful for grinding large or tough samples. The choice of ball size should be determined based on the sample material and the size of the grinding vial or titer plate. After use, the grinding balls can be discarded or cleaned for re-use.
