The Cole-Parmer SamplePrep HG-200 GenoLyte rapidly disrupts cells and tissues for DNA/RNA and protein extractions. The unit works with a wide range of sample types including seeds, stems, roots, leaves, and animal tissue. As a multi-purpose mill, in addition to DNA/RNA and protein extraction, it is also capable of pulverizing the toughest rocks, minerals, cement and ceramics, rapidly reducing samples to analytical fineness, blending powders, and making emulsions.

The HG-200 is versatile and easy to use and accommodates 2 mL, 5 mL, 7 mL, and 12 mL vials with interchangeable vial holders. Choose between steel, tungsten carbide, and plastic vials based on your specific application. The GenoLyte can blend powders, create emulsions, and prepare samples for ICP and XRF analysis.

By eliminating the need for manual grinding with mortar and pestle, the HG-200 GenoLyte reduces the risk of cross-contamination and ensure reliable and consistent results. The horizontal oscillating motion ensures uniform disruption with steel balls or beads and a lysis agent. The resultant finely ground samples increase surface area for improved acid dissolution and analysis.

The Cole-Parmer SamplePrep GenoLyte is user-friendly and designed for easy operation. The digital timer ensures precise run control. The large, clear lid provides visibility of the sample loading area. The safety interlock lid ensures secure operation. The clamp orientation makes it easy to load and unload the samples.

Operation is easy, simply load vials into the secure clamp and close the lid. Set the time and speed using the intuitive digital controls. Press start and let the GenoLyte do the work.

Interchangeable vial holders for each vial type are sold separately.
