The Cole-Parmer SamplePrep SM-200 ShatterBox is a powerful and efficient grinding mill that reduces particle size to below 200 mesh, and in some cases, below 10 microns. The ShatterBox is ideal for slurry grinding and pulverizing dry, brittle materials like cement, ceramics, ores, and more.

The ShatterBox swings a dish-shaped grinding container, with a puck and (often) a ring inside, in a tight high-speed circle, quickly crushing the sample. Most grinding containers are fitted with a gasket to prevent sample loss during grinding.

The user-friendly design includes a programmable digital timer with run, stop, and pause functions for precise control. A 10-minute timer counts down the time remaining. Press "Pause" any time to interrupt the grinding cycle. The easy-to-use cam-action clamp securely holds grinding containers in place, and the lockable casters keep the unit stable during operation.

Advanced safety features include safety interlocking lid that prevents accidental opening during operation. The gas cylinders assist lid opening making it smooth and easy to use. The sound-insulated steel cabinet ensures quieter operation, reducing lab noise.
