4 mL Polycarbonate Vials. The center outer diameter measures 12.7 mm x 52 mm (1/2 in x 2 in long). Each vial is loaded with one 9.5 mm (3/8 in.) steel grinding ball (part # (2155). Grinding load per vial 1.5 mL. The 24 vials are packaged in a foam vial holder within a sturdy polyethylene carrier that has the same footprint and height as a deep-well titer plate. Carrier fits Geno/Grinder clamp; used in pairs. Vials can also be used with Cryo-Block (part # 2662). Replacement vials and steel balls may be purchased separately.

To use, simply add the sample and solution (if desired) to each vial, screw on the vial cap, and place the entire carrier into the 2010 Geno/Grinder. Run up to four Vial Sets at a time for high-throughput tissue homogenization and cell lysis. Sold as a case of 10 Vial Sets.

Vial sets are an alternative to titer plates. Vials can be filled and sealed individually, and the larger vials can hold larger samples that titer plates.
