Polycarbonate round-bottomed centrifuge tube vial with screw-on polyethylene cap. The nominal outer diameter measures 5/8 in x 4¾ in long (16 mm x 120.65 mm). Holds one 3/8 in (9.5 mm) stainless steel grinding ball (#2155). Grinding load per vial 1-5 g. Not recommended for liquids or wet mixing. Sold in package of 30.

Vials are an alternative to titer plates. Vials can be filled and sealed individually, and the larger vials can hold bigger samples that titer plates. Replacement vials and steel balls can be purchased separately.
